Previously, recycling PP jumbo bags and rigid plastics required the purchasing of a series of recycling machines in order to cut the materials into their required size. These systems often requires a lot of space setup and operate.
Our innovative all-in-one machine is an idea solution for small to medium sized recycling plants that need to make use of both a granulator and shredder machine but only have a limited amount of floor space. Our newly developed system is more compact and relatively simple to operate. Additionally, our highest powered model can achieve a capacity of 600kg/hr.
For higher capacities, we recommend using a separated system.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
This all-in-one machine includes both a shredder and granulator. The shredder is intelligently placed on top of the granulator in a secure manner to reduce space. As usual, the shredder with movable hopper runs at low speed to pre-cut the material. The shredded materials will drop directly into the granulator for further size reduction. There are many options on screens size, for example, 30mm, 20mm, 10mm, or smaller.
Combined by PLC control, when the granulator overloads, the movable hopper will move backwards to reduce the feeding of materials.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is an all-in-one shredder & granulator machine?
It is a compact machine that combines a shredder and a granulator in a single frame: the shredder sits on top of the granulator, pre-cutting material that then drops directly into the granulator for final size reduction. Plants that need both stages but have limited floor space get full two-stage size reduction from one compact, simple-to-operate system.
How does the machine work?
The shredder, with its movable hopper, runs at low speed to pre-cut the material; shredded pieces fall straight into the granulator below. Screen size options include 30mm, 20mm, 10mm, or smaller for the final particle size. PLC control ties the two stages together: if the granulator overloads, the movable hopper moves backwards automatically to reduce feeding.
What materials can it handle?
The machine is designed for materials like PP jumbo bags and rigid plastics that previously needed a full series of separate machines to reach size. It suits small to medium sized recycling plants that process moderate volumes and want a compact footprint. For higher capacities, we recommend a separated shredder and granulator system instead.
What is the difference between a shredder and a granulator?
A shredder runs slowly with high torque to tear bulky material into coarse pieces, while a granulator runs faster to cut those pieces down to uniform small flakes or granules. This machine chains both stages together so material flows from coarse pre-cut to finished granulate in one pass. See our single-shaft shredder vs granulator comparison for a deeper breakdown of each stage.
Which models are available, and what are their capacities?
Two models are offered: the SDJ-300 with 30 kW + 22 kW motors producing 200–300 kg/hr, and the SDJ-500 with 45 kW + 22 kW motors producing 400–600 kg/hr (output varies with screen size). The highest powered model reaches 600 kg/hr. If your volume exceeds that, ask us about a separated system sized for higher throughput.
What maintenance and warranty does the machine include?
Both cutting stages need regular blade inspection and replacement — see our guides on how to change blades on a plastic shredder and how to change blades on a plastic granulator machine. Screen size changes and hopper maintenance follow standard practice. All recycling machines come with a 1 year limited warranty.
