2000kg/hr HDPE Rigid Plastic Crushing & Washing Line

Here we’re showcasing our HDPE Rigid Plastic Crushing and Washing Line, with a capacity of up to 2000 kg per hour.

The line includes a debaler, belt conveyors, a trommet, two crushers, a friction washer, floating tank, centrigual dryer, hot air dryer, zig-zag separator, and a final storage silo.

The process begins with the debaler, which opens compressed bales and loosens the materials for easier handling.

From there, a belt conveyor feeds material steadily into the next stage, helping automate the flow and minimize manual work.

A trommel then separates fines and small debris to ensure only suitable materials move forward.

Two more belt conveyors then transport the cleaned rigid plastics to twin high-performance crushers, reducing them to uniform flakes efficiently.

These flakes pass through a friction washer, where high-speed spinning blades scrub off dirt, labels, and other surface contaminants.

Next is the floating tank, where materials are soaked and separated by density—ideal for removing residual dirt and low-density plastics.

The washed flakes are lifted into a centrifugal dryer, using high-speed rotation to extract most of the moisture.

Then, the hot air dryer completes the drying process, ensuring the flakes are fully moisture-free and ready for downstream use.

A zig-zag air classifier sorts out light contaminants like labels and films, improving the purity of the final product.

Finally, the clean, dry flakes are collected in a storage silo.

Frequently Asked Questions

What materials can this HDPE rigid plastic line process?

The line is built for rigid HDPE plastics arriving in compressed bales — containers, drums, crates, and similar rigid items. The debaler opens the bales, the trommel removes fines and small debris, and twin crushers reduce the material to uniform flakes. Because the line relies on density separation in the floating tank, it suits rigid plastics with densities above water.

What is the capacity of this crushing and washing line?

This configuration handles up to 2,000 kg per hour of HDPE rigid plastic. Actual throughput depends on bale condition, contamination level, and how clean the incoming material is. If your supply is dirtier or more mixed, effective output will be lower — share your feedstock details for a realistic capacity estimate.

What are the process stages in this line?

Material flows through a debaler, belt conveyors, a trommel separator, twin high-performance crushers, a friction washer, a floating tank, a centrifugal dryer, a hot air dryer, a zig-zag air classifier, and finally a storage silo. Each stage targets a specific contaminant — from fines and labels to dirt and moisture — so the final flakes are clean, dry, and high-purity.

Why does the line use two crushers instead of one?

Two crushers in parallel deliver the 2,000 kg/h throughput while producing uniform flakes efficiently. Splitting the load also adds redundancy: if one crusher needs blade service, the line can keep running at reduced capacity. Consistent flake size from this stage is what makes the downstream washing and drying stages effective.

How dry are the flakes after this line?

The two-stage drying setup — a centrifugal dryer that spins out most moisture followed by a hot air dryer — leaves the flakes fully moisture-free and ready for downstream use such as extrusion or pelletizing. The zig-zag air classifier then removes light contaminants like labels and films, further improving final purity.

What are the power and installation requirements?

Requirements depend on the exact configuration, including crusher sizes, dryer heating capacity, and total line length. The line runs as a continuous automated process from debaler to silo, so plan for adequate electrical supply, water supply and drainage, and floor space.
