This is a trial run of our 1500kg/hr Triple Row Sink Float Tank for a customer in NC, USA. This customer bought our washing line 4 years ago but decided to upgrade to this new, more efficient triple row sink float tank. This way, he can now handle more highly contaminated materials. In this video, we used both PET flakes and PP PE rigid regrinds for the trial run. In terms of cleaning, its efficiency is quite good as its washing length is equal to three normal sink float tank. Please feel free to contact us if you are interested in this new model.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a triple-row sink float tank?
It is an upgraded sink float separation tank whose washing length equals three normal sink float tanks. Flakes travel a much longer path through the water in a single unit, which extends residence time and improves both separation and cleaning efficiency. As the trial video shows, the cleaning performance is quite good even on challenging materials.
Why upgrade from a standard sink float tank?
The customer in this video bought a standard washing line four years ago and upgraded specifically to handle more highly contaminated materials. The triple-row design gives dirtier feedstocks — which a single tank can struggle with — far more time in the separation zone, lifting flake purity without adding extra machines to the line.
What materials can the triple-row tank process?
The trial run demonstrates both PET flakes and PP/PE rigid regrinds. Sink float separation works on density differences in water, so it suits any flake or regrind stream where the target plastic and its contaminants separate by buoyancy. Tell us your material mix and contamination level, and we will confirm the right tank configuration.
What capacity is this tank rated for?
The unit shown is rated for 1,500 kg/h. Sink float tanks are typically sized to match the washing line they serve, so the dimensions can be adjusted for different throughputs. When enquiring, share your line capacity and the materials you process so we can recommend the appropriate model.
Can the triple-row tank retrofit into an existing washing line?
Yes — that is exactly what happened here. The customer replaced the original sink float tank in a four-year-old washing line with this more efficient model, gaining the ability to process highly contaminated materials without rebuilding the line. Our team can advise on the mechanical and process interfaces needed for a smooth retrofit.
